Malicious Site Blocked! = Norton Safe Web Intrusion Protection System (IPS) block At this point this product is useless to me from a web protection perspective. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Norton 360 (including extensions) and Google Chrome. I was supposed to get a call back this past weekend but no one called me. I finally convinced support to escalate my issue. Norton support then told me to turn off VPN when I want to access a banking site (Excuse me! What's the purpose of having VPN if you can't use it for security sensitive web activity like banking?). ![]() I did that but then (after additional support calls) I learned that VPN won't let you access any banking sites (error: site can't be reached). I called Norton support and they told me to disable the extension and use VPN. If I click "continue to the site" I get a blank screen. No matter what website I try to open (including Norton's) I get "Malicious Site Blocked, you attempted to access https: // /metric/?wid= 52743". In Chrome with Norton Safe Web extension enabled I do a search in Google and then click to open a site that comes up from the search.
